On January 17, at the Les Bernardes Cultural Center, the exhibition Pastors d’Arbres from the En Terres Salvatges cycle was inaugurated. It will be available for viewing until April 5, 2025. The exhibition establishes an analogy between deforestation and social oppression, exploring the relationship between nature and the human condition. The opening was attended by Gemma Geis, Vice President of the Diputació de Girona, and artists Dolors Puigdemont, Katja Lang, and Gisela Bombilà.
Les Bernardes is a cultural landmark in the Girona region. The building, constructed in 1869, has had several uses before becoming a cultural center in 1983. Since then, it has hosted exhibitions, debates, and literary activities with a program focused on the dissemination of contemporary multidisciplinary culture and reflection.
Under the coordination and editing of Robert Fàbregas, the exhibition catalog was designed by the creative studio AEIOU and printed by Nexe Impressions. The interior was printed using offset LED UV, and the covers and inserts are in Materica Verdigris from Fedrigoni Paper, with black ink. The technique of Swiss binding was applied to the rustic binding with exposed stitching. Additionally, the materials used for the catalog have FSC certification, ensuring sustainable printing.
