Clair-obscur is the catalog of the exhibition of the same name organized by the Pinault Collection and published by Éditions Dilecta. The exhibition and its accompanying book explore the concept of chiaroscuro through a selection of contemporary artworks, creating a dialogue between artists and practices around light, shadow, and visual perception. The catalog cover features a work by Victor Man that encapsulates this approach.
Specializing in art publications, Dilecta regularly collaborates with cultural institutions and international collections. Pinault Collection is one of the most important private contemporary art collections worldwide, with exhibition spaces in Paris such as the Bourse de Commerce. Through its editorial program, it promotes publications that document and expand the discourse of its exhibitions.
At Nexe Impressions we managed the production of the catalog, which combines 168 pages on Gardapat 13 Kiara from Lecta with 88 pages on Munken Print White 1.8 from Munken Paper. The cover includes a lining in Wibalin Natural 135 g from Winter & Company and a cromo on Gardapat 13 Kiara placed over a pre-worked blind embossing. Printing was done in LED UV offset in full color, except for the endpapers, which were printed in traditional offset. The binding is hardcover with lining, with 3 mm gray board, flat spine, and black headbands, completed with stamping.
