La Mirada Serena, published by Editorial Gavarres, gathers the photographic legacy of Pep Sau around the landscapes and lives of La Garrotxa. The work brings together images that convey a calm and contemplative view of the environment — from volcanic nature to everyday life details — presenting a visual journey through the career of an author deeply rooted in his land.
Published a few months after his passing, La Mirada Serena takes on a special meaning as a tribute that highlights Pep Sau’s contribution to the local photographic heritage. Editorial Gavarres and Nexe Impressions worked together to translate his legacy into print, turning this publication into a space of memory and permanence for his work.
The production, directed by Nexe Impressions in collaboration with Agpograf Impressors, was carried out with technical precision and high-quality materials: 204 inner pages printed on Creator Vol 135 g by Lecta, and diptych covers on Arena White Smooth 300 g by Fedrigoni Paper. Printed in LED UV offset and perfect bound with exposed black thread stitching, ensuring durability and comfortable opening. The result is a sober and accessible publication, faithful to the author’s essence and to Editorial Gavarres’ commitment to preserving local memory.
