Constellations 2, written by Paul Geai and illustrated by Jeanne Picq, is the new publication from Cosmographe Éditions. In this second edition, the authors present eight new animal constellations, exploring the relationship between form and perception through layers and transparencies.
Cosmographe Éditions is an independent publisher specializing in artist books and singular graphic projects. This book, with a structure that combines different materials and printing resources to strengthen the visual narrative, reinforces its commitment to publications in which design and printing play a central role.
At Nexe Impressions we managed the production of the project. The cover is wrapped in natural smooth Wibalin from Winter & Company, printed in two Pantone inks with acrylic varnish and a gold foil stamping. The interior combines 32 pages on natural tracing paper 150 gsm, printed with one Pantone and white ink plus gold foil stamping, with 20 pages and endpapers in Munken Polar Rough 150 gsm from Munken Paper (Arctic Paper), printed in two Pantone inks with acrylic varnish. The binding is hardcover with 2 mm board, square spine and headbands.
