The Tokyo Curate Guide is a publication conceived by BYREDO within the framework of the C.E.X Seminar, a gathering that brings together creatives and professionals from the brand’s universe around culture, design, and contemporary experience. The guide proposes a journey through Tokyo via a selection of emblematic places, chosen for their architectural value or for the way they conceive space and interiors.
Founded in Stockholm in 2006 by Ben Gorham, BYREDO has established itself as a brand that expands from perfume into other creative territories, always with a strong focus on storytelling, materiality, and contemporary sensibility. In this context, The Tokyo Curate Guide is conceived as a natural extension of its universe: a compact, precise, and visual publication, designed to accompany seminar participants and offer them a personal and interactive reading of the city.
The book’s production has been carried out with special attention to detail. The 20 interior pages are printed in full color on Materica Gesso by Fedrigoni Paper; and the cover lining in Cialux Beige fabric by Guarro Casas incorporates a two-color stamping — burgundy and matte black. The fabric is counter-mounted to the endpapers, produced in Burano Black paper by Favini. The Singer-stitched binding with black thread, together with the rounded edges, completes this singular edition, which focuses on the urban experience and the relationship between design, atmosphere, and cultural identity.
