Doing Fashion

Doing Fashion is the name given to the comprehensive design practice carried out in the fashion design program at the Basel Academy of Art and Design, a school that is part of the University of Applied Sciences and Arts Northwestern Switzerland.

The publication presents a collection of projects by students graduating in 2024. The printed product is intentionally designed as a space for creativity and exploration. It represents a practical investigation in the field of editorial design, taking a clear stance away from conventional trends.

The book covers stand out thanks to the transparent PVC covers screen-printed with Pantone blue and white ink in a mirror effect, combined with a binding made of transparent fluorescent green plastic spiral. The interior is printed using LED UV in four-color process plus one Pantone ink. Some pages are divided into three sections, a creative resource that rethinks the order of the content and invites the reader to interact with the volume.
