Today, 7 October, the Remember Me exhibition opens at the Bourse de Commerce – Pinault Collection in Paris, marking the bicentenary of the invention of photography. The exhibition brings together nearly 700 works by more than 70 artists and spans two centuries of the medium’s history, from its earliest experiments to the most contemporary forms of photography. The exhibition will be open to visitors until 18 January 2027.
The exhibition is conceived without following a strict chronology, establishing connections between works from different periods and genres. Its title comes from Untitled (Remember me), a work by Barbara Kruger, and refers to one of the ideas running throughout the exhibition: photography as a trace, imprint and means of preserving what time might otherwise make disappear.
On the occasion of the exhibition, Pinault Collection and Éditions Dilecta have co-published a publication featuring around fifty works presented in the exhibition. The project features graphic design by Les produits de l’épicerie by Philippe Delforge and is particularly notable for its format: a leporello that unfolds to create a continuous visual sequence.
At Nexe Impressions, we were responsible for the production management, technical coordination and supervision of the project, working together with our partners at Agpograf, who handled the printing. The resulting piece combines a 400 g Munken Lynx cover from Munken Paper with a 250 g Gardapat 11 EW interior from Cartiere del Garda. The publication was printed in four-colour process and bound as a 30-panel leporello, allowing it to unfold to its full length.
