Dans le ventre de la terre shows us the fascinating journey of an unborn baby to a poetic rhythm. The poems of Cécile Roumiguière are accompanied by detailed illustrations by Fanny Ducassé.
Éditions du Seuil-La Martinière commissioned this project, which was initially to be printed in multichrome to highlight the tones and details of the illustrations. After digitalising, retouching and performing tests in multichrome and CMYK (with practice tests using the machine directly even), the publishing team, along with Les Caméléons photo-mechanical team decided to print it in traditional quadrichrome. However, it was still carried out with a stochastic pattern.
