This book dedicated to Combas’ imagery is, without a doubt, a luxury item in which the works on famous people and historical scenes are brought together in an explosion of colour and creativity that any pop movement fan will be sure to enjoy.
The book is 30 x 36 cm in size and is covered with a winter peloux in dark grey which gives it a fine and suggestive touch. A fluorescent pink serigraph is printed on the cover, using UV printing resulting in a bright 3D relief. It has fluorescent pink inside covers which lead the way to the explosion of colour to be found within. Several fold out quadriptychs allow the large projects to be displayed in landscape format.
The book has been published by the Laurent Strouk Gallery, Paris, to mark the occasion of the major exhibition of the artist at the Grimaldi Forum in Monaco last summer, organised by the gallery. The book has been designed by Antje Welde, of the Voiture 14 Studio in Paris.
